1. Who can participate in VBS?
Participants must be a minimum of 4 years old or finishing grades up through 5th. Preschoolers (4 & 5 yr olds) will be part of our Tinker Tot Preschool Group at VBS. Kindergarten thru 5th will be part of the main VBS group. Older children who have
completed a minimum of 6th grade or adults can sign up to be crew leaders or help in other areas around VBS.
2. How do I register?
Partipants and volunteers can register online by clicking the link below or can stop by the church office to pick up a paper registration form. Please note that online registration will close on Saturday, June 3. After that date, all registrations will need to be done on a paper form.

(Print and bring with you already filled out to save you time if you miss online sign-up)
3. Can I be in a group with my friends?
YES! Crews are made up of mixed ages from Kindergarten through 5th grade and assigned groups randomly. Mixing the ages really does make for a more fun crew. BUT of course we want kids to have fun!!! If your child has a particular friend that they would like to be with, we can usually accomodate two children together of the same age in a group but not always more than that. There is a place on the regsitration form to make requests such as this and we will do our best to accomodate requests.
Please note that the preschoolers will be part of Tinker Tots VBS. They will all be together as one group and not be mixed with the older participants. They will experience a full VBS but in a less overwhelming format. There will be no need to make friend requests on their forms.
4. What time should I arrive?
Doors will open at 8:10am and the opening celebration begins at 8:30am.
On the first day, the registration line gets long. If you have already registered online prior to Monday morning (online registration does close on Saturday, June 3), you can jump ahead into a seperate line to pick up your name tag. If you have NOT registered prior to arriving, please allow enough time to wait in line to fill out a paper registration form. A parent or person responsible for the child NEEDS to accompany their child into registration the first day to be sure we have their paperwork filled out and emergency numbers on hand. Once a child is registered, parents are allowed to drop children off and we suggest they arrive by 8:20am to allow time to get to their seat before the fun begins. Please remind your child though that he/she needs to stop at the registration table each morning on their way in to let us know they have arrived. We take attendance daily.
CREW LEADERS should arrive no later than 8:15am every morning!
5. What time can I pick my child up?
The Finale ends each day at 11:30am (sometimes we run over just a bit) in the sanctuary.
Parents or guardians MUST come in to the church to pick up their child!
We apologize if this seems inconvenient but we are responsible for the children until a parent takes over so we cannot let the kids take off outside to the playground or be hanging around unattended. If your child rides a bike or walks to VBS, please note this on their registration form and they will be released to do so once the crowd has cleared to avoid the traffic.
6. My child has food allergies or special concerns.
There is a section on the registration form for medical concerns. PLEASE NOTE anything you think we should know. Food allergy information is given to the snack leaders and they make adjustments as needed whenever possible. Nuts, berries, yogurts and grains are often part of the VBS snacks. If you feel the need to, you are always welcome to provide your child's snack and they will receive it at the same time that everyone meets for snack time. In severe allergy cases, sometimes parents prefer this but it is certainly not required. If there are other concerns, please note it just in case. We do take all medical concerns seriously and want to be prepared if needed.
If you have other questions/concerns, please contact the church office or Jenny Loveless. We are happy to help and look forward to having your child join us!
