Zion Lutheran School is a private Christian PRE-K-8 school that receives no public funding. Funding for the school is provided by the church and from several fundraising efforts made throughout the school year. There are several ways you can help show your support to Zion without simply writing a check.
Butter Braids & Cookie Dough (October) - Butter braids is a high profit fundraiser done throughout the month of October. Students are given forms in early October and butter braids are delivered the late October or early November. Students are rewarded for their selling efforts with a prize drawing.
Sauerbraten Dinner & Country Store (First Sunday of November)- Sauerbraten is an all school fundraiser that has been a 43 year tradition at Zion. It is a German meal served buffet style and served by Zion's teachers and parents. The Country Store sells items donated from local businesses as well as homemade items made by Zion's students, parents, and congregation.
Market Day - Forms are sent home with students and placed in church mailboxes on a monthly basis. Food items can be purchased online or by submitting the form back to Zion. Profits are designated to a different classroom each month.
Scrip - Scrip forms are distributed to students weekly and gift cards can be purchased by turning in the form, through the Scrip website, bought between Sunday church services or bought by going to the Zion church/school office.
Box Tops for Education - Collect the box tops from more than 330 participating General Mills products marked “Box Tops for Education”. Trimming them properly and then turning them into your child’s teacher or school office. Remind your friends and family to save them too!
Shop at the Box Tops for Education Marketplace with over 100 stores, designate Zion, and Zion gets up to 10% of each qualifying purchase.
Campbell's Soup Labels - Remember to save the labels for education and remind your family and friends too. Labels can be turned into your child's teacher or the school office.
Ink Cartridge and Cell Phone Recycling - Zion can also make money by recycling ink cartridges and old cell phones. These can be brought to the school office.
